MEET KAITLYN
Kaitlyn McLaughlin,
LPC, NCC, CPCS
FOUNDER & CLINICAL DIRECTOR
I'm so glad you're here. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal decision, and I know it can feel overwhelming to take that first step. My hope is that this page gives you a sense of who I am, how I approach therapy, and whether we might be a good fit to work together.
More than a therapist—someone in your corner.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. My role isn't to tell you how to live your life or have all the answers—it's to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore, heal, and grow.
No matter what season you're in, I strive to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want to create.
I know reaching out for support takes courage, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients through some of life's most meaningful and vulnerable moments.

Thoughtful Care. Meaningful Change.
MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

Warm & Collaborative
Therapy is a partnership built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.

Evidence-Informed
I draw from research-supported therapeutic approaches while tailoring each session to your unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Inclusive & Affirming
I intentionally create a space where people of all identities, family structures, cultures, and lived experiences feel welcomed, respected, and valued.

Growth Focused
Therapy isn't only about managing today's challenges. It's also about helping you build resilience, confidence, and lasting change for the future.

My Story. My Why.
THE HEART BEHIND MY WORK
The path that led me to this work is both professional and personal.

As a therapist and as someone who has experienced family building through donor conception, I understand that many of life's biggest transitions come with emotions that are complex, unexpected, and deeply personal. My wife and I have both experienced pregnancy, and those experiences have strengthened my passion for supporting individuals and families through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and the many identities and transitions that accompany them.

Creating TheraRise was an opportunity to build the kind of practice I believe people deserve—one that combines compassionate, evidence-informed care with an unwavering commitment to inclusion, authenticity, and meaningful relationships. My hope is that every person who walks through our virtual doors feels welcomed, respected, and empowered to grow.

BEYOND THERAPY
Supporting the Next Generation of Clinicians
In addition to providing therapy, I enjoy mentoring the next generation of clinicians through clinical supervision, consultation, and professional education. Supporting therapists as they grow in confidence and competence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Let's take the next step together.
Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or looking for support during a new season of life, I'd be honored to be part of your journey. If you think we might be a good fit, I invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation so we can get to know one another.
